Cloud computing is an important and growing part of the IT industry. It is important to have a strong general understanding of it, and enough concrete knowledge to build a simple application using the cloud. Google App Engine is the perfect gentle entry into cloud computing. With App Engine, you can build web applications using standard Java technologies and run them on Google's scalable infrastructure. App Engine applications are easy to build, easy to maintain, and easy to scale as your traffic and data storage needs grow. With App Engine, there are no servers to maintain: You just upload your application, and it's ready to serve your users. I will be doing some hands on coding.
