Yet it's easy to forget that our job is to use technology to enable everyday users to accomplish their work efficiently. Improving soft skills, such as spoken and written communication, teamwork, and flexibility can build rapport with everyone you work with, and make you happier and more valuable to your company and clients.
Paul Rak has been actively involved as a UNIX System Administrator for more than two decades, complete with requisite beard and pony-tail. He now works as an independent consultant and speaker, putting his soft skills to daily use. In addition to geeky pursuits, Paul is an avid motorcyclist, and in 2005 completed a Saddlesore 1000 run of the Iron Butt Association, covering more than 1000 miles in less than 24 hours.

From the East or West: From I-88 (East-West Tollway), take the Naperville Road exit. At the traffic light, turn left onto Naperville Road and continue north for 1\275 miles to Rt. 56/Butterfield Road. Turn right onto Rt. 56/Butterfield Road and proceed 1/4 mile to the first traffic light (East Loop Road).
